Intro To Vascular Sonography

This course introduces the student to the major vascular systems interrogated by sonography. The student will learn the anatomical location of the extracranial vessels;, the upper and lower extremity venous systems;, and the vessels of the abdomen as well as how to properly evaluate them for disease processes. Students will gain an understanding of hemodynamics and perform complete examinations by optimizing ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic gray-scale images and utilize pulsed-wave, spectral analysis and colour flow Doppler.
