Students build on previous clinical observation experience and didactic knowledge to perform basic respiratory assessments and interventions under direct supervision of qualified personnel. The students will practice the application of theoretical knowledge in a clinical environment, enhance their appreciation of the role of the Respiratory Therapist, develop experience of the inter-professional relationships within the health care team and improve patient interaction /communication techniques.
