Patient Care Lab

Students acquire patient care skills through the utilization of clinical case studies and the implementation/application of standardized protocols and evidence based medicine in a simulated clinical setting. Students perform competencies, ranging from basic respiratory care to initial steps of resuscitation demonstrating patient assessment and management including bedside diagnostics and interventions. Students will be required to provide the rationale for their choices during a debriefing/class discussion session. Students will continue to reinforce the concepts around professionalism, communication, problem solving and health and safety.
