This course will provide the student with an opportunity to perform practical applications of related equipment and theories in cardiopulmonary management in a controlled laboratory/simulated environment. Students practice skills associated with obtaining venous access, setting up invasive monitoring systems, arterial line insertion and blood sampling as well as BLS/ALCS protocols and ECG acquisition and interpretation. Students will be expected to apply concepts learned relative to professionalism, communication and health and safety throughout the lab experience.
