Students are introduced to advanced skills associated with advanced life support protocols such as 12 lead ECG interpretation, electrical therapy, and fluid and cardiac drug management. In addition, the student learns advanced patient monitoring techniques such as invasive pressure monitoring. The student synthesizes monitoring data from a variety of sources such as hemodynamic data and electrocardiography to assess patient status.
