Respiratory Care II

This course builds on the knowledge and skills obtained in Respiratory Care I and Medical Gas Therapy. Students will explore the didactic and performance elements associated with medication and substance administration, clearing and maintaining the airway, manual ventilation, and infection prevention and control. Patient education is introduced and a culture of patient safety is emphasized. Students have the opportunity to apply lecture theory in the laboratory environment.
