Students are introduced to the principles and techniques utilized in Pulmonary Diagnostic Testing. Topics include the operation of various pulmonary function testing devices and the interpretation and validity of test results. Routine testing and patient communication are emphasized. Stress testing, bronchoprovocation testing and walking oximetry are included., Patient safety procedures for testing contraindications and reasons to abort testing procedures are discussed.
