Students build on skills introduced in the first semester and apply basic patient care in a simulated setting. Topics include patient assessment and history taking, infection prevention and control, medication administration, suction therapy, non-invasive airway care and artificial airways, manual ventilation and intubation. Performance of skills will be evaluated using standardized templates that align with current competencies and professional standards of practice.
