Students begin the study of the human body and its functions. Topics include the study of the language of anatomy, the cell, cell transport mechanisms, tissues, and membranes. There is an in-depth study of the cardiovascular, lymphatic, urinary, and respiratory systems and how they impact tissue oxygenation and the maintenance of cellular function.
