This is a practical study of advanced level operation, maintenance and testing activities encountered in a power plant, boiler and auxiliaries, prime movers, heat engines, compressors, pumps, and cogeneration plants. Emphasis is placed on analysis and troubleshooting of systems as well as preparation for annual maintenance and required testing. Other aspects include safety, piping and instrument drawing applications, and administrative functions related to running a power plant at the 3rd class level. CSA and ASME codes as well as other relevant legislation to Power Engineering are referenced and adhered to.
