Designs, specifications, and connections for ferrous, non-ferrous and non-metallic piping along with expansion and support devices common to piping systems are studied. The designs and operation of steam trap systems, the causes and prevention of water hammer, and the designs and applications of pipe insulation. Companies use many configurations and establish special operation of the common valve designs are commonly used in power and process piping in order to manage safety in the industrial workplace.
