Hands-on study of introductory level operation, maintenance and testing activities encountered in a power plant, boiler and auxiliaries, prime movers, heat engines, compressors, pumps, and cooling towers. Other aspects include piping, instrument drawing applications, safety and administrative functions related to running a power plant at the 4th class level. CSA and ASME codes as well as other relevant legislation to Power Engineering are referenced and adhered to.
