This course covers introductory thermodynamic concepts related to the power engineering field. Focus will be on the nature of heat, units of measurements for thermodynamic properties, thermodynamic processes and systems, as well as cycles. Basic principles of refrigeration as it applies to power engineering will be discussed. Students will learn how to interpret and perform basic calculations related to steam properties and tables.
