This course is designed to familiarize the student with the design, layout and operation of Power & Heating Boilers as well as the associated boiler parts and fittings, piping and valves, and all the related safety devices. Reference is made to the ASME Section I and IV code to ensure compliance and safe/efficient operation. Focus will be on the basic preparation of a boiler for the start-up and shutdown procedures as well as its routine, safe and efficient operations.
