This course is designed to familiarize the student with the design, layout and operation of high pressure boilers as well as the associated boiler parts and fittings, piping and valves, and all the related safety devices. Reference is made to the ASME Section I and IV code to ensure compliance and safe/efficient operation. Focus will be on the basic preparation of a high pressure boiler for the start-up and shutdown procedures as well as its routine, safe and efficient operations.
