The first part of this course is designed to familiarize the student with the Industrial legislation in place to ensure the safe design, construction and operation of boilers, pressure vessels and related power plant equipment. The second part stresses the safety awareness required in the operation of plants and includes workplace hazardous materials, confined space entry, handling and storage of gases and hydrocarbon fluids, hydrogen sulfide, equipment lockout, and plant fire protection.
