The student will be introduced to the hospital pharmacy including the role of the pharmacy within the hospital organization: Hospital Formulary: purchasing, pricing, special storage requirements, record keeping, inpatient and out patient dispensing, and traditional vs. unit dose distribution systems. The role of the pharmacy technician as a member of the hospital pharmacy will also be introduced.
