The student will learn inventory management of medications, equipment, and devices according to an established plan, including handling their receipt, storage, removal and documenting these activities. The student will apply inventory theory in practicing receiving, verifying and reconciling pharmacy orders using purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, rotating stock, restocking and monitoring expiry dates. The use of various electronic ordering devices will be explained and practiced.
