This course presents fundamental principles of human anatomy and physiology of the body system. It discusses cells, tissues and selected human systems. Topics include cell structure and function, tissues, body organization, and the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, and endocrine systems with emphasis on homeostasis. It introduces and integrates concepts of bio- chemistry, pathology and microbiology. The course is designed to provide a foundation to help the students understand the variety of medical tests and/ or drugs available for diagnosis and treatment.
