In this course the student will learn about clients with mental health, oncology and palliative issues. The student will use problem solving critical thinking and the nursing process as it relates to the care of mental health, oncology and palliative clients and their families. The student will develop an understanding of disease processes, pathophysiology, pharmacology, diagnostic tests and medical treatments., The students will also gain an understanding of nursing interventions, best practices and interprofessional care models when caring for mental health, oncological and palliative clients, and their families.
