The student will learn to apply the nursing process in promoting health in the family. Promotion of adaptation through the lifespan will include the newborn child, adolescent, adult and well elderly. Adaptation of clients experiencing common mental health problems associated with each developmental stage will be examined. Ethical and legal issues related to family development and adaptation will be explored.
