In this course the student will focus on the care of clients with common ineffective behaviours, nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems in the respiratory, endocrine, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and genitourinary systems. These would include ineffective airway clearance, ineffective breathing patterns, risk for aspiration, potential complications of hypo/hyperglycemia, activity intolerance. This course will build on the understanding of adaptive behaviours in these systems explored in the Health Assessment Course, first semester nursing theory and health course.
