This course will allow the student to develop knowledge and better understand the role of cultural diversity in health and illness in Canada. Theoretical models and assessment tools will be used to examine the diversity of cultural beliefs, values and practices that impact the health of individuals and groups. Students will reflect upon and comprehend multiple cultures as they relate to health and illness in their daily lives. Similarities and differences of diverse cultures will be explored.
