Three Phase Pole Line Construction

Students will construct a three phase overhead circuit including the installation of various switching devices and a single phase pole mounted transformer. Students will also install primary and secondary underground conductors in conduit. They will also remove a ten span section of single phase line, including removal of transformers, switches, hardware and poles. These construction activities will provide an opportunity to work directly from the pole and from a bucket truck to practice a wide variety of the skills and work methods learned to date.
