Students will be taught the theory of installing three phase overhead and underground conductors and transformers. Students will learn how to select, install, operate and maintain switches in both single and three phase applications. They will learn how to select and install single phase transformers and will be introduced to the functions of transformer stations and the relevant safety precautions required when entering a power station. Students will learn how to use and apply the utility work protection code.
