This course covers nomenclature and installation of pole line hardware, setting and aligning poles, stringing single and three phase wires, installation of armor rods, hand and perform ties. The course also covers the change-out of single and three phase transformers, overhead secondaries, pole top insulator change outs, pole replacements, and conductor transfers. Students will learn principles of lifting and rigging in order to move poles and hardware. Students will understand the need for safety and lifting load limits.
