This course is designed to introduce the student to some of the basic areas of physics. General topics include temperature, heat, thermodynamics, Newton's laws of motion, work and energy, rotational motion and fluids. Subject matter will also include topics involving the properties of waves and vibrations, interference, electricity and magnetism, light, Snell's law, lenses, special relativity and nuclear physics. These topics will be explored through problem solving and experimentation.
