This class will explore the history of the golf cart in the golf industry and its evolution with modern golf course design. Appropriate golf cart fleets needed for different facilities will be examined with emphasis on quantity for service needs and the physical type required for specific facilities (Gas/Electric). The student will learn the advantages and disadvantages of cart fleet leasing or buying based on cash flow positions and forecasting. Maintenance management, including cleaning, monitoring and tracking general repairs will be planned. Safety features and training of staff and customers will also be addressed.
