The necessary and appropriate requirements for the planning and management of a successful golf tournament will be covered. Course set up, course markings and local rules for tournament play will be addressed. All stages of running a tournament, including; acquisition of tournament sponsors, establishing budgets and timelines, developing materials for marketing and promotion, tournament formats, scorekeeping, officiating and awards presentations will be covered.
