The course examines the role of the coach in the athlete's sport experience; also studied are the sociological factors and their impact on the athlete in areas of motivation, reinforcement, team building, training and development. Both psychological and sociological principles and theories are discussed and the result allows the student to develop an appreciation for their importance in real sport and life situations.
