This course will teach of the origins of the game of golf. Its ancestry and birthplace will be explored and debated. The evolution of golf course design, equipment history and the role of the golf professional in the evolutionary process will be explored. The introduction of golf in Canada and the beginning of the PGA of Canada will be investigated as well as golf course construction in Canada and the history of Canadian Golf Courses.
