The Ministry of Community Safety & Correctional Services has passed legislation as of April 15th, 2010 that requires all Security Guards in Ontario to successfully complete Basic Training and Testing to be eligible to obtain a Security Guard License. This 58 hour course will introduce the learner to the Security Industry with emphasis on Ontario legislation, Private Security & Investigative Services Act, powers of arrest and use of force; it will also include first aid, CPR, health and safety, report writing and effective communications skills. Police Clearance is required upon acceptance.
