Medical Typing And Theory Techniques I

This course introduces students to medical keyboarding speed development and review typing theory with applications in medical letters, tables, manuscripts from print and handwritten copy. The student will be introduced to medical keyboarding techniques in the following areas: punctuation, capitalization, number usage, metrics, medical symbols, abbreviations and word endings. Instruction and practice will be given in the proper keyboarding formats for charts, consults, reports, operations, medical forms and prescriptions.
