Contemporary Indigenous Studies

This course explores recent historical and contemporary Indigenous realities in Canada. The topics covered will focus on how Indigenous communities, peoples, and organizations address colonialism, treaty and Indigenous rights, the Indian Act, the legacy of residential schools, reconciliation, and self-determination.
