A course designed to introduce the student to various types of calculations found in the Heating and refrigeration trade. A review of the conversion between the British Units still prevalent in the trade to the new S.I. Units that are now being introduced. A study of methods of calculating heating conductance of various types of constructions as well as the heat loss calculation of simple structures will be covered as well as problems involving the gas laws and the fan laws. The use of psychometric charts to determine the properties of the air to calculate heating and cooling requirements will conclude our study.
