This course provides the practical and academic skills, involving fractions, that the adult learner will need both in future mathematics classes and future employment. The course topics are self paced in a math lab and supported by twice weekly lectures/workshops. A diagnostic pretest determines what fraction's topics the adult learner doesn't understand. Topics include: improper fractions; mixed numbers; finding common denominators; adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing any fraction or mixed number; estimating calculations involving fractions.
