This course deals with strategic planning and the tools needed to be successful in today's fast paced retail environment. Merchandising, pricing and advertising are the tools that will lead to success. This course examines fundamental principles and techniques of merchandising mathematics that can be applied to solve certain retailing problems. As the retail sector plays a major role in the Canadian economy, the concepts presented will assist retailers in pricing and inventory management. Note: Basic mathematical skills are required in order for the student to be successful.
