This course is a study and application of automotive Internal Combustion Engines (ICE). Engine component identification and precision measuring procedures using industry standards and equipment will be heavily stressed. A firm understanding of the internal and external forces that affect an ICE while operating will be a major learning objective. Original engine design and modifications of original design are integral components of this course. Engine disassembly, measuring, machining, reassembly as well as failure analysis are a major component of this course.
