This course will build on MPI 134. The course will complement MPI 202 where diagnostic testing and SI engine systems including Ignition Timing systems, Compression testing, Leak Down testing, Oil Pressure, Fuel Delivery testing as it relates to fuel consumption including drivability, the operation of Chassis and Engine dynamometer when determining air/fuel demands as it pertains to torque and horsepower. In using these diagnostic tools the students will be challenged to problem solve using strategy base Diagnostics. This course uses a lab hands-on approach to encompass all subject matter from components/procedures. Understanding and maneuvering Information Retrieve Systems in both the electronic and paper format will be used.
