This course is a study and application of automotive internal combustion engines. Engine component identification and precision measuring equipment will be heavily stressed. Engine component applications emphasis shall be on engine block and components housed within the block assembly, and the lubrication of those components. An introduction to shop safety will be given at the beginning of the course to give students a basic understanding of working safely in a shop environment.
