This course is a study of the types, operation and application of some of the common diagnostic equipment used in the (current) automotive On Board Diagnostic I and II vehicles, including the operation of chassis and engine dynamometer to determine torque and horsepower curves. The student must understand and maneuver Information Retrieve Systems in both the electronic and paper format., In using these diagnostic tools the students will be challenged to problem solve using Strategy Base Diagnostics. Classroom theory sessions use Lecture/Lab Hands-on approaches to encompass all subject matter from components to procedures.
