This course is a study of electrical / electronics / magnetism principles, electrical / electronic circuit construction and design. This include an in-depth study of electronic components, conductors, semiconductors, component circuitry; IC chips, switching devices, electromagnetic devices, and electrochemical devices. The student will study the proper diagnostic, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance procedure of previous mentioned circuits., , After establishing a solid theoretical foundation of the fundamental and advance principles as they apply to the above circuitry and components, student must apply critical thinking and a logical procedure not only to past and present vehicles, but also future vehicles in the area of testing and test laboratory diagnostics. A pre-described digital volt ohmmeter and calculator is required for this class. Also to be covered is a use of digital multi meters, analog meters, and digital storage oscilloscopes.
