This course is a study and application of shop safety and procedures. This will include hand tool safety, power equipment safety, hoist operation/vehicle lifting, protective clothing, safe handling and storage of chemicals, fire prevention procedures and environmental hazards. Also discussed are workplace materials information systems, as well as occupational health and safety guidelines.
