The world's largest network, the Internet, is also one of the world's most powerful communication tools. The student will learn the underlying applications, components and protocols of TCP/IP and its necessary link to the Internet. The Introduction to TCP/IP course will help participants learn how to identify TCP/IP layers, components and functions. The student will be introduced to the fundamentals of IP addressing including IP address class, network address planning and the use of subnets. Navigation tools, TCP/IP services and troubleshooting methodologies and tools are also covered in this course.
