The focus of this course is the study of the Wide Area Network (WAN). Participants in this course will learn the concepts, technologies, components and protocols used to move voice and data across long distances. They will discover important technologies such as ATM that integrate voice, data and video communications. Participants will be exposed to the basic concepts of how information is transported over a wide area network (WAN), from the physical layer bits and bytes to the applications supported over Wide Area Networks.
