The objective of this course is to investigate small business opportunities and to provide a basic understanding of the problems in starting your own small business. This understanding will enable the student to contend with the daily problems in starting and managing a small business. Emphasis is placed on the Business Plan and the decision making process covering such topics as: start up legalities, financial planning, marketing topics, insurance requirements, record keeping, tax considerations, credit and collections, human and personnel relations, and any other topic of importance to the new entrepreneur.
