This course is designed to introduce the learner to various aspects of quality control. In today's economy, quality control is paramount to the success of any manufacturing business. Topics will include the concept of variation, probability and statistics, and techniques used for the control of part and process quality. Lectures will discuss the history and evolution of quality control and statistical process control. Applied problem solving techniques and tools will be used to solve simulated quality control problems and issues.
