Driveline And Automotive Transmission I | St. Clair College
Course Code
MET415
Course Credit
4

This course is a study of driveline design and components, such as drive shafts, C.V. joints, rear axles, differentials, and standard transmission, for rear and front-wheel drive applications. The student will be exposed to mathematical formula in relationship of gear ratios, torque transfer and friction loses. Included in this course is a section on clutch systems driveline lubrication and E.P. Oils. During the lab sessions, the student will be involved in developing an understanding of the internal operation of driveline components, and the execution of proper diagnoses, repair and overhaul procedures.
