This course is divided into two 7 week parts for labs:, Metallurgy and Welding. Metallurgy: This course will provide the student with a thorough background in the properties and structure of common materials used in engineering practice today. Also the heat treatment, other processes and testing methods are analyzed to determine which one can be used. The lecture theory is supported with labs devised to enhance the students' understanding of the theory. Welding: This course offers practical instruction in basic welding fundamentals for Oxy-Acetylene and Shielded Metal-arc welding.
