The course offers foundational knowledge of body contouring treatments applied with light energy therapies or surgery, including low-level laser liposculpting. Students will study the rates and causes of Body Dysmorphic Disorders-BDD, localized adiposity, cellulite, and obesity. The course also investigates body image, ideal proportions in men and women, body mass index measurements and anthropomorphic measurements. An emphasis is placed on nutrition, hormone balancing and treatment of food allergies for optimal BMI.
